1How to delete your account

You can delete your account yourself, anytime, from inside the app:

1. Open Kibaki and go to the Profile tab.
2. Open Account Setting at the bottom of the page.
3. Tap Delete Account.
4. Confirm with the one-time code (OTP) sent to your phone number.
5. Once confirmed, your account and personal data are permanently deleted.

The OTP step verifies it’s really you, so no one else can delete your account.

2What gets deleted

When you delete your account, we remove your personal data:

• DeletedYour profile: name, photos, bio, date of birth, and preferences
• DeletedYour phone number and email address
• DeletedYour matches and likes
• DeletedYour approximate location data
• AnonymizedYour chat messages. Your identity is removed and you appear as “Deleted User” to people you talked with. The messages can no longer be linked back to you.

3What we may keep, and why

A small amount of data is kept only where the law requires it or to keep the community safe:

• KeptPayment and invoice records, retained for the period required by German commercial and tax law (up to 10 years).
• KeptContent connected to an abuse or safety report, kept for a limited time so we can handle the report and cooperate with authorities if needed.

This data is not used for any other purpose and is deleted once its retention period ends.
